Meet The Brand, Growfather, inspired by George Martorano’s life story.

George traveled from Wildwood, NJ, and Philadelphia to California to purchase cannabis for resale at home, sourcing from various countries and managing transport. He also interacted with infamous figures like Pablo Escobar and Griselda Blanco during this time. After being sentenced to life without parole in 1984, he mentored inmates and established educational programs. Released in 2015, he opened one of Philadelphia’s first CBD dispensaries. In January 2024, Little Leaf Labs LLC started producing Growfather products, which quickly sold out, indicating the brand’s growing success in an evolving market.

LaDuke combines economic and environmental approaches in her efforts to create a thriving and sustainable community for her own White Earth reservation and Indigenous populations across the country.

She also founded Winona’s Hemp Farm, a tribal owned farm that produces textiles and ultimately aims to change the textile industry to better our planet.
