October Artist of the Month, Judy Skillman! “Meet the Artist” Reception 🏽‍ Thursday, Oct. 17th, 5pm – 7pm 9 Highland Pl, #1, Maplewood Village Refreshments will be served 🧀 At the age of 5, Judy moved to South Orange, NJ and went all through the public schools there. She graduated from Columbia High School and then from NYU with a degree in Art History. She told us she loved her studies in this subject, and that art is truly her passion. Judy says she discovered docent programs when she was raising her children, and participated in the program at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington DC. From 2013 – 2021, she studied Collage/Mixed Media at the Yard School of Art which is part of the Montclair Art Museum. There, her teacher there inspired her to “make” art rather than just appreciate it.
